The presenter: Dan Almeter
Dan was born, raised and educated near Rochester, NY. Dan moved to Augusta,Ga. in 1977 and still resides there; he married his wife, Marie, in 1980. He has six children, all now married, and 16 grandchildren. Dan retired in 2011 from the State of Georgia, after 32 years of service. During this period he worked mostly with adoptive children and preparing families for adoption. He also worked in child protective services, foster care, and career counseling.
Dan obtained a masters in counseling in 1998 and became licensed as a professional counselor since 2001. He is a pastoral leader and teacher in Alleluia Community--a multi-denominational and residential Christian Community in Augusta. Dan is a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Augusta. He has 18 years as a licensed professional counselor working primarily with men on this topic..
